SVG Kit for Adobe Creative Suite plug-in provide following possibilities:

• SVG specs from 1.0 to 1.2 are supported
• SVGZ files are supported
• SVG image is kept in vector format: there is no quality loss or indirect rasterization
• Images, imported into Photoshop, are automatically split into layers. Opacity for every layer is supported
• PDF, PS and EPS output formats for InDesign and InCopy are supported
• all InDesign effects are supported
• rich set of gradients and composites
• advanced support of Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape files
• flattener support for PDF and PS/EPS
• vectorized output in PS/EPS, no rasterization
• huge documents are supported
• Adobe InDesign Server 32 and 64 bit is supported
• Adobe InCopy is supported
• Adobe Photoshop 32 and 64bit is supported
• Adobe Photoshop Elements is supported
• MacOS X is supported, including Snow Leopard
• full-functional evaluation versions are available

Following features are NOT supported

• Declarative animation for SVG
• Interactive and dynamic SVG documents

These elements are not supported because the main purpose of our software is to make hard copy as a final result. So, animation, interactive scripts and other stuff has no sense in InDesign and Photoshop. On the other hand, we offer scripts support for SVG documents extra processing, for example for text formatting.

Note: Javascript code in SVG documents is supported, as it helps to render the image. For example, approach of text wrapping via Javascript works well.

System requirements

To use SVG Kit plug-in for Adobe Creative Suite your computer should be running under Windows or MacOS X operating system and correspond to the following requirments:

Windows

• Pentium suitable processor or better (2Ghz+ Intel/AMD recommended)
• 1GB RAM (2GB+ recommended)
• at least 100MB of free space on hard-drive
• Windows XP SP2+, Windows Vista SP1+ or Windows 7 (Windows 2003 / 2008 is supported for Adobe InDesign Server)
• You shoul have Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5, CS5, CS4 or CS3 (or Adobe InDesign/Adobe Photoshop), or Adobe InCopy or Adobe Photoshop Elements already installed

MacOS X

• Multicore Intel processor (2Ghz+ recommended)
• 1GB RAM (2GB+ recommended)
• at least 100MB of free space on hard-drive
• MacOS X Leopard or MacOS X Snow Leopard (Tiger is not supported)
• You should have Adobe Creative Suite CS5, CS4 or CS3 already installed
